- In my episode, the theme I am focusing on is this: sometimes, life is unfair.
- One quotation from Holes that supports the theme here is the following: “Stanley watched the water splatter on the dirt, where it was quickly absorbed by the thirsty ground. ” (Sachar p. 47).
- These details show the theme that sometimes, life is unfair because in this quote, Mr. Sir just pours the water from Stanley’s canteen into the ground. He did this because he thinks that Stanley got him hit with the rattlesnake venom. This shows the theme because some people just hate you for no reason and they do bad things to you. When this happens, you should take matters into your own hands by trying to tell someone like a teacher.
- Another quotation from Holes that supports the theme here is the following: “"I mean," X-Ray went on, "why should you get a day off when you've only beenhere a couple of days? If anybody gets a day off, it should be me. That's only fair, right?" ” (Sachar p. 24).
- These details show the theme that sometimes, life is unfair because in this quote life is unfair sometimes because some ppeople don’t let you have or give you something even if there supost to. This shows the theme because x-ray wants the golden tube stanley found. it is not fair because xray did not dig it up himself.
