- In the Scarlet Ibis they didn't think the baby would live , so they named him 3 months later . They named him William Armstrong ,Since he laid in the bed all the time . Then that's when Doodle brother had an Idea to name him "doodle ". Since he crawled backwards like a doodle bug .
- Doodle and his brother went down to the old woman swamp.When they were there Doodle's brother was going to teach him how to walk. Doodle was scared since everyone told him he wouldn't be able to .
- As they were leaving horsehead landing a storm was beginning to come. When it eventually started to poor down raining Doodle and his brother began to run. Thats when Doodle's brother ran to far ahead of him and left him. Then when he came back Doodle was on the ground dead.
