  • I'm Maximilien Robespierre.
  • In October of 1789, women marched on Versailles because the bread prices were being raised and they needed to eat bread every day. They demanded that the government provide bread for people and the King and Queen come back to Paris.
  • Execution of Louis XVI and Marie Antoinette
  • This declaration was based off the Decleration of Independence, and stated that men are born an remian free and equal in rights. The rights that they believed they were given were: liberty, property, and securtiy.
  • Rise of Napoleon
  • The Reign of Terror was a time when France was controlled by Robespierre. He used fear as a way to suggest citizens to stay true.
  • Fall of Napoleon
  • Louis XVI was executed for treason, because he didn't have an answer on how to help solve France's finical problems. Marie Antoinette was executed because she was found guilty for crimes going against the state. Both were executed by a guillotine.
  • Napoleon Bonaparte was a military officer who led to many great victories and later "emperored" him. Throughout his time in office, he did many great things like creating his own system of laws.
  • Napoleon tried many things to keep his empire strong but it slowly started to fall apart. He ordered a blockade to be created to stop trade with British, but British built a bigger one and was better at fighting. During this time, he also sent his army to many wars and kept loosing men, making his army less and less powerful.
