- Your name is now Crispen. 
- Hey that's Asta's son. 
- Crispen's mom Asta "the only person he could call his own" dies. Crispen's only friend Father Quinel helps him bury his mom. Crispen was known only as Asta.
- You should start thinking for yourself!
- After his mother's death, Asta's death Crispend goes on a walk in the forest. He sees John Aycliffe meeting with a stranger. John Aycliffe chases him with his sword and tries to kill him. 
- After he escaped John Aycliffe he goes home. He sees strangers burning his house down. He is confused about why they are burning down his house and decides to hide. 
- When Crispen is in a town he meets someone named Bear. Bear forces Crispen to be his servant. While being his servant Bear asks Crispen questions to help him be more independent and think for himself. 
- While at a place called Great Wexly John Aycliffe kidnaps Bear. A man named Goodwife Daventyr tells everyone that Crispen's cross that he got from his mother proves that Asta Is the illegitimate son of Lord Furnival who is the owner of the town he lived in. Crispen felt good finally knowing that John Aycliff treated him and his mom badly because he wanted his inheritence.
