Storyboard Text

  • The Israelites moved to Egypt where they were forced by the pharos to become slaves. The endured hard laborious life styles with little money, food and happiness.
  • Moses grew up a prince and was loved by the people. When he found his mother had lied to him about his birth he grew wary.
  • The population of the Israelites grew exponentially and the Pharo at that time feared a revolt. He ordered that the first born son in that year be killed. A young woman couldn't give up her son, so she placed him in a basket afloat in the Nile. He was found and raised by the Pharo's sister.
  • The Pharo (Ramses) did not want to release the Israelites so God released the ten plagues of Egypt. They included water turning to blood, frogs, lice, flies, livestock pestilence, boils, hail, locusts, darkness and the killing of firstborn children. To show god that they were Israelites to prevent the killing of their child, mothers and fathers painted their doorway with lambs blood so the plague would passover their doorway. Ramses's son was killed so he freed the Israelites out of fear.
  • While in Midian, after fleeing Egypt upon banishment Moses met his wife Zipporah. Despite their contradictory religious beliefs they fell in love and had two sons Gershom and Eliezer. Moses became a sheppard for Jethro, Zipporahs father. One day while Moses was tending the sheep On Horeb, the mountain of God, God appeared to him through a burning bush. He summoned Moses to free his people in Egypt.
  • Once the slaves were freed they left to find a new home. Ramses was mad they escaped so him and his noble men chased after them while they fled. God gave Moses the power to part the Red Sea so they could escape Ramses.
  • After crossing the Red Sea the Israelites doubted God's power. Then they doubted Moses when he left on the mountain of Sinai for 40 days. God talked to Moses through thunder and lightning and created the ten commandments which the Israelites had to follow to understand Gods will.
  • God led the Israelites to the land of Milk and Honey after they wandered the dessert for 40 years
