  • He was born in Plancy (France) on June 23, 1817. He was an only child, with a solid Christian education, precursor of the great mission to which God destined him. At his short 5 years he appeared in the factory of his town to exhort the workers to attend the Mission that was given in the Parish, to which they, impressed by his word, attended. At age 11 he received his First Communion
  • On December 19, 1840, he was ordained as a priest and soon after was appointed Chaplain of the Visitation of Troyes, performing these functions efficiently for more than forty years.
