- Mr. President, I am not saying that free trade is bad. Free Trade makes products of more quality because of competition.
- Come with me sir.
- Protectionism encourages labor exploitations and gives citizens a better standard of living. Free trade's idea is outsourcing, it is better for efficiency. But you need to have trade agreements.
- Free trade was better than protectionism in that situation because people are not buying local cars for a reason. If we apply protectionism local companies will not fix themselves and people will be sad. There will be no variety of products, and there will be no competition in the market. Infant industries will grow better and we will have more local workers.
- But if we apply free trade there will be more competition in the market, then local businesses will be forced to fix their problems so people can buy their cars. there will be more variety of products in the market. Infant industries will not be able to grow quickly though, and labor will be less as people buy products produced by foreigners. Demand on local products will be less.
- I am not saying that protectionism is bad, protectionism is good because it encourages local job growth and protects small new local businesses. But my decision is what goes here!
- Now our citizens are happy and our country makes good cars!
- Alfred made the wrong decision and will be killed! So, what will you choose protectionism or free trade?
