Storyboard Text

  • On September 16, 1620 the people on the Mayflower left Plymouth, England with 102 passengers on board. It took more than two awful months to cross the Atlantic ocean.
  • With jagged coastline, rocky soil, long cold winters, moderate summers so it was tough to farm.
  • Squanto arranged trades with Indian neighbors and taught them how to plant corn and fertilize the soil using fish heads.
  • In 1621 the Wampanoag Indians and the colonists had a harvest feast.
  • The peace did´nt last long when the colonists seized more land then the KIng Phiiliph´s war 1675- 1676.
  • People with different religious ideals would get kicked out of Massachusetts.
