- I will figure this out. I didn't study medicine at the EdinburghSchool of Medicine for Women for nothing. Maybe I will organize a hospital and just have the staff be women. I think that would help troops. I better get to it!
- Outbreak of war in Europe, August 1914. Because of this Elsie Maud Inglis suggested the creation of women's medical units on the western front to help troops who were injured.
