- People were selling different things, like water, meat, snacks, and a lot of other things. Everyone was happy.
- In fact, it was very crowded everywhere, until...
- BOOM! Mount Vesuvius had erupted. Many years ago, the people of Pompeii knew that Vesuvius would not erupt. People hid in their homes, while others escaped on their boats. now Pompeii was covered in hot, thick ash. We have dug up the city of Pompeii, and now we are studying it.
