Storyboard Text

  • Poirot receives a telegram to return to London immediately. He decides to take the Orient Express.
  • You are needed in London, come back immediately 
  • On the Orient Express, a man named M. Ratchett asks Poirot to help him, someone is trying to kill him. Poirot declines.
  • Please, someone is trying to kill me, I need your help Mr. Poirot!
  • I'm sorry, I don't want your case.
  • Ratchett is murdered. There are obvious signs of foul play, stab wounds, a window is opened but no foot tracks in the snow, and a handkerchief among other clues to a mystery.
  • Hmm.... 12 stab wounds, open window, no footprints outside the window though, handkerchief with H on it
  • The biggest clue is a charred paper that has a little girls name, Daisy Armstrong. This reveals that Ratchett is really a man named Cassetti who kidnapped and killed Daisy. This gives motive now.

  • Poirot conducts interviews of every passenger on the train. 
  • We were asleep in our room the whole night, we heard nothing or saw nothing
  • Where were you and your wife last night?
  • Poirot concludes that 13 of the passengers were close to Daisy Armstrong and they all had a part in the murder.
  • I concluded that 13 people on this train murdered Cassetti together because he murdered Daisy Armstrong.
