- Achilles called a meeting about the plague, and asks Calchas why it's going on. Agamemnon gets mad at Achilles for saying that they should give Chryseis back and that he should go without a prize and threatens to take his prize Bryseis.
- Agamemnon decides to take send back Chryseis to Chryse along with 100 cattle and gifts for Apollo. He also decides to take Briseis. Achilles is about to kill Agamemnon but Athena and Nestor stop him.
