- Deciding to Flee
- We have to leave Cuba, now!
- Are you crazy?
- If we don't leave now, they'll arrest papi!
- But, I'm pregnant!
- The Trip
- It was a mistake, leaving on this sinking coffin.
- But they were going to arrest papi.
- The Near-Death Ride
- Papa! Where is he? Do you see him?
- Isabel's family was discussing whether they were going to leave Cuba or not. Isabel's dad was 100 % sure that they should leave but, her grandfather and mother were having doubts about it.
- The Arrival-Or So They Thought
- But, we have a sick, pregnant women!
- After deciding that they were going to leave Cuba, they left on a raft with the Castillo’s. Meanwhile, Isabel's father and grandfather still argued about whether if leaving was a good idea.
- The Shark Death
- Ivan!
- While on the boat, in the middle of the night, an extremely large boat approached them. Due to it being night and it being really they had to struggle to avoid it and Mr. Castillo fell of the boat.
- The Happy Ending
- We made it!
- Finally!
- After another night at sea, they find land, but instead of landing in Florida, they land in The Bahamas. There they tell them that they can’t step foot on the Bahamas land, or they will be send back to Cuba.
- If you step foot on ground of the Bahamas, you will be send back to Cuba
- Since the boat was falling apart, some of the people on the boat floated in the water hanging on to the side of the boat. Those included Isabel and Ivan, but all of a sudden Isabel’s mother went into labor and Ivan was bitten by a shark and died.
- No!
- After a chase by the U.S. Coast Guard, they finally made it! They made it to the beach, to Miami. And they lived happily in Miami! Oh with Isabel’s new little brother Mariano!
