- Before agriculture was invented .
- Before humans knew how to grow crops, it is believed that they were hunter-gatherers and mostly moved from place to place to find food.
- Agriculture in the past
- Some tribes would collect seeds from grasses, plants, etc and replant them to grow crops. People would grow and store enough food during the growing season and use the stored food in the non-growing season.
- Agriculture in the past
- People also domesticated animals in the past, after they realized that most animals they hunted lived on seeds, grains, and grasses that they already had in store. People didn’t move from places as they did before inventing agriculture and had permanent settlements
- Agriculture in the present
- Today, some farmers use modern machines like harvesters, winnowers, tractors, etc.
- Agriculture in the present
- Farmers might also use chemicals like fertilizers to make the soil fertile, pesticides to stop insects from damaging their crops etc. But it might make foods less nutritious than organic foods.
- Agriculture in the future
- Unhealthy crops are spotted in your farm land.

- In the future, tiny sensors might monitor crops and alert farmers on their smartphones, when there is a problem, or instead of humans, robots might be used for farming.
