- Stanley says he got sent camp green lake because of his no-good-dirty-rotten-pig-stealing-great-grandfather he says this because a long time ago he great grandfather was cursed by a gypsy woman at camp he has to dig holes 5 feet deep and 5 feet wide

- holes starts with a boy named Stanley yelants IV he was walking home one day then shoes fell out of the sky stanley started running home and then the police stopped him he got charged with stealing the shoes and arrested and sent to camp green lake Stanley says it is because of his family curse or its just bad luck
- falling action
- Stanley starts teaching Zero how to read in exchange zero digs apart of Stanley's hole each day, but some of the boys did not like that they thought it was slavery
- resolution
- one day whilst they were digging zero Stanley and zigzag got into a fight the counselors came and were making fun of zero-zero hits one of the counselors in the face and runs into the desert
- whilst carrying zero up gods thumb Stanley sings a song that has been his family for generations and while singing it he breaks his family curse because zero is the descendant of the old gypsy woman
- after being proved innocent Stanley and zero gets to go home zero hires a team of private investigators with the money they got from the treasure and zero is able to find his mom
