Banquo has become suspicious of Macbeth, especially regarding the murder of the king and the predictions.

Macbeth starts questioning Banquo about his plans for the day, and he felt suspicious.
"Banquo was your enemy"
"True my lord." "We shall, my lord, Perform what you command us."
Suddenly, a servant came in and asks Macbeth if he wants to speak to the 2 men who have arrived at the castle.
"It is concluded. Banquo, thy soul’s flight, if it find heaven, must find it out tonight"
Macbeth has a soliloquy where he decides Banquo is a threat to the throne and that he must be murdered.
Macbeth convinced 2 murderers that Banquo is their enemy.
