- Lumnay was cuddled up in a dark room of their home in disbelief because she couldn’t conceive a child for the one whom she truly loved. Awiyao then came in and told her how the wedding with the other woman was unbreakable And Awiyao spoke to her about how she shouldn't be upset because she still has a better future ahead of her.

- They discussed the sacrifices they had given to Kabunyan in order to have a child. But, despite the hardship, they still hadn't been blessed with a child.

- They both heard Awiyao's name being called out because he wasn't present at his own wedding. They both realized that if the community was to survive, they would have to split ways. Both of them were aware that this is a difficult for the both of them.

- Awiyao was hesitant to attend his wedding due to his still feelings for Lumnay. He then presents her with a bead that was passed down to him from his grandmother as a remembrance. He subsequently had to attend the wedding because he was expected to do so.
- After some time of reflection, she mustered the strength to attend his ex-husband's wedding and speak with the tribe's elders about her defiance of the unwritten norm
- As she approached the gathering location, she came to a halt when she noticed the massive conflagration. She then chose to climb a peak that provides a panoramic view of the happenings
