Storyboard Text
- a long time ago before there was light there was just a dark gloom over the world all the time.
- one day lighting struck a dry patch of pine tree across the great lake, the animals could see the fire and it brought light to the surrounding land and they wanted that
- the animals had a council meeting disusing how they should obtain the fire. every animal wanted to go but most were unable physically to go across the great lake and bring it back over, the council finnally decided crow would go. he was big and a strong flyer.
- the crow traveled all the way across the great lake came onto a small burning twig, he could not find away to take the fire across the lake with out burning himself or dropping it. finally he just came back home
- the beaver went but he could not keep the coal burning, the otter went but the fire burnt him. the water snake went but he could not hold onto the coal, the great eagle went but he was to big to grab a caol from the log but when he did he slipped and fell into white ashes that is why his head is white but his body is black.
- finally the little water spider wanted to go but the council thought he was to little but since every thing else failed the council was desperate. she skirted onto of the water. when she came to the fire she weaved a basket out of silt, she took a small coal and put it in her basket and took it back home but she left with burns on her tiny legs that is why yopu see small black lines along the legs of the water spider.
