  • Welcome to the Caddo tribe !
  • Hello , I am dr. Thomas today were going back in time to see how the Caddo tribe lived in the past
  • The Caddo tribe was located in a sub reigon called the piney woods in eastern Texas
  • The Caddo tribe resources for food were hunting animals like deer, turkey and rabbits . But they also ate a lot of nuts , berries ,corn and squash. if there was a river near they would also fish .
  • The Caddo tribe has several food resources like hunting animals such as deer, turkey and rabbits. the tribe also eats lots of nuts,berries ,beans ,corn and squash. if they had a river near them they would also fish.
  • The Caddo would build tall dome shaped grass houses that about 30 people could live in . they were reffered as the " Caddo proper " or cenis as they were called by joutel . these houses were made out of wood and grass.
  • The Caddo tribe used their environment by using their natural resources like the rivers which provided fish and they gathered wild plant foods.
  • the Caddo tribe is special in a unique way . the word caddo means "true chiefs " the tribes people produced beautiful art and poetry. their weapons included bow and arrows and clubs made out of wood and bone.
  • The Caddo tribe has several sources of food like hunting animals such as deer, turkey , and rabbits . They also ate a lot of nuts ,berries, corn and squash. If they had a river near they would also fish
