- Rainsford repeats the word "nerve" to himself as he tries to keep calm and remain rational under pressure.

- Rainsford lies in wait for General Zaroff and kills him when he returns
- 2012 marked Adam Richman's last adventure into the travel channel classic "Man v. Food" in which Adam Richman, a semi-professional eater, travels around Amierca looking for local restaurant food challenges. Unfortunately, Man won 11 episodes and food won 16 during the 2012 season.
- The 2012 season ended on a win for food. While the series did get brought back in 2017, it does not star Adam Richman. We will never get back the glory years, my brothers, of Adam Richman consuming large quantities of food for our viewing pleasures on Man v. Food. Truly a great loss to all of humanity.
