Storyboard Text

  • There once was a poor woodcutter's family that lived at the edge of the forest. They were so poor that some days they went without food. The woodcutter and his wife had two children, a wise boy names Hansel and a lovely young girl named Gretel.
  • Hansel overheard his parents talking about how they were going to abandon both him and Gretel in the forest, so he decided to collect some pebbles to use as markers.
  • The first time their parent's took them to the forest, they found their way back using the pebbles as markers. The next day their parent's did the same thing, but Hansel wasn't able to collect rocks the night before so he has to use little pieces of bread.
  • Gretel was hungry so she picked the bread crumbs up as they went along. Before they realized it they were at a dead end. There was only a little bird there. Hansel and Gretel were truly lost and had to choose which way to go.
  • Hansel and Gretel wandered through the forest the forest for the rest of the night, hungry and tired, but then they find a cave. Hansel and Gretel decided to go into the cave together, but when they got in there Gretel was nowhere to be seen.
  • A distraught Hansel follows a straight path, frantically searching for Gretel. Hansel sees their little cabin in the distance and runs towards it. As Hansel is about to open the door he sees Gretel in the window laughing with their parents while talking about abandoning Hansel. A heartbroken Hansel wanders back into the forest never to be seen again.
