Sickness of Heart
Storyboard Text
- The main character (Earl) had a very good childhood, yet into his adoloescnece his parents and his litle brother whom he loved to bits died in a tragic boat accident, leaving him extremely depressed.
- Earl soon moved out of the country to start a new life, This is where he met a woman by the name of Abigail, they got married and eventually had a child, they named her Daphne. During this time, Earl got less depressed and started visiting the local Christian church often.
- Earl soon got a job as an accountant. He would spend his afternoons at the local Pub, drinking and chatting away with a new friend he had made, Richard. Richard was a very succesful man, he was an inventor that won every award he put himself into!
- However, one day, Richard lost an award. He took the loss very badly and locked himself in his home. HIs assistant, Ivor was there to console him. When suddenly, in a fit of rage Richard pushed Ivor down the stairs hard enough to kill him. In despair, Richard made himself a new assistanr, a robot. Earl grew concerned as his friend hadn't contacted him in quite a while.Getting the courage to go, him and Abigail went to Richard's home. They knocked, no answer. Earl broke in and they soon were welcomed with a petrifying smell. They walked around and saw Ivor dead, they continued and soon went into Richard's room. Earl found him slumped at his desk, before he could check if his friend was dead or alive, Abigail let out a scream. Before Earl could turn around he was struck with something heavy in the head, knocking him out instantly.
- While unconcious, he had an odd dream. He was in a wasteland, a desert like place. He could hear something beating in the background, it sounded like a heartbeat. Earl looked around the wastelad. He saw a horse running around, and soon saw a figure coming to him, My name is Penelope, you are safe.. Earl became worried, where was his wife? Where was his daughter? He tried to run but his legs turned to dirt. He collapsed and soon five figures were closing in on him, including Penelope. That is when he realised who the other four figures were. His mother, father, brother and the priest at the church he visited..He soon awoke from the dream, a machine stuck to his chest. He looked around, he couldn't see well, his eyes had a green tint to them, but he managed to make out a mans face. Richard's, but it wasn't Richard...
- Not to spoil the story, but now Earl was stuck with voices in his head. He could hear Penelope and the other four figures in his head. They spoke to him, telling him to do things he didn't want to do..you'll have to find out what happens next in the story!! yay
