General Charles Cornwallis was ordered to supply and reinforce his troops at Yorktown
September 28 to October 19, 1781 at Yorktown, Virginia
George Washington's army and General Rochambeau's army trapped the British army by land
Admiral De Grasse trapped the British troops by sea
Because of the French's enforcement and navy, the American side was able to push the British army into surrendering
Overall, 7,000 British soldiers were captured, 300 were killed, and 600 were wounded. Less than 400 American soldiers died
The battle of Yorktown essentially ended the war, and ended the major battles of the war.
