  • The 1st agricultural revolution started in Mesopotamia. It had lots of domesticated plants and animals such as Emmer wheat, oats, bread wheat, dog, cattle, goat, and pigs. It created a sedentary lifestyle that resulted in a surplus of food.
  • The 2nd agricultural revolution happened from 1715-1850 in Great Britain. Some innovations in farming are crop rotation, selective breeding, changes to land laws, seed drill, threshing machine, and cotton gin. It also drove some small farmers out, and food costs went down.
  • The green revolution happened in the 1960s-1970s in developing countries. Positive effects it produces a lot, surpluses they could export. Negative effects water pollution, using lots of chemicals, and runoffs from chemicals.
