  • From the beginning of time the human beings as every animal have had the need for communication, thanks to evolution humans decided to establish a communication system based on writing and speaking, therefore after years of use nowadays, we have rules in subjects as grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, etc., to improve the well understanding of each language.
  • As every student should know, today one of the most ancient and important stories will be told. English is now knos as aworldwide language, making it a enormous door of opportunities if you break the language barrier, for instance having more chances of living a life of comfort, being part of the global economy, that infuences billions of life, and asuming the decision making that comes with it.
  • Starting from its roots in England where Germanic languages as Angles, Saxon, and Jutes were combined after german tribes invaded England, while at the same time other languages as Latin, french, dutch, and Afrikaans influenced it to grow. Going through a series of changes marked in phases like old English, middle English, and modern English.
  • Centuries back specifically in the 18th century English became a global language, due to the fact that England spread it through its colonies, making it a dominant language not just because of the number of colonies, but because most of their territory had a big impact on the global economy, just as Canada, the US, Australia and most of UK by its commerce.
  • Since English is spoken as a first language in 53 countries and as a second language in over 118 countries, learning the language makes it much easier to travel anywhere. Indeed, airport announcements, train timetables, emergency information and street signs are often available in English, including in countries where the native language uses a different type of alphabet.
  • Why is so important to learn English? As the third most widely spoken language in the world, but also as the most common second language, English is commonly used around the world as a trade language or diplomatic language. It is the language of science, aviation, computers, diplomacy, and tourism. Last but not least, it is the language of international communication, the media, and the internet, considering that most of the media as TV shows, books, and websites are now produced in english.
