- My religious fate was decided since the day of my birth. I was born into a Roman Apostolic Catholic family. By the time I reached 4 or 5 years old, I was baptized.
- Be patient. Listen to the word of God.

- Ever since I was a child, religion has had an influence over my way of thinking. My mom told me I was brought to Earth by God and that I used to be one of his angels. Logically, I was confused. I was named after the angel Gabriel; although I was also given that name because of my father.
- Lord we thank you for this meal that we are going to eat today for the good of our body and our soul.
- You know, there are people who aren't as fortunate as we are are.
- I didn’t bother having to pray every night. In fact, I thought it was really fun sharing our prayers together at night, reunited as a family.

- I also didn't mind having to go to church at least one time a week, especially on sundays, even though sometimes it got really boring.
- And to think there are people who can't even afford a piece of bread a day..
- I was able to see my relatives on many more occasions. For instance, we often went to the church together and organized family reunions or dinners.

- Being Catholic has helped me reflect on my actions and become a more sensitive person. I learned about the importance of being considerate and sharing with people who need it.
