  • Good Morning class,i want to inform you all that we're having an activity tomorrow at our school science laboratory and we're allowed to use microscope for our activity.Ok,do you have any question for tomorrow's activity?
  • Bacteria Reflects The 8 Characteristics of Life
  • What kind of activity it is ma'am?
  • I'm so sorry i forgot to mention it.Uhmmm...it is all about knowing bacteria by using microscope so that they are visible to our eyes.Identifying what kind of bacteria it is,its structure and answering the question ''Are bacteria considered a living thing?''
  • Yes Mr.Kwengkelengkeng
  • DURING THE ACTIVITY
  • Wow...it's so amazing,i can clearly see the bacteria.
  • Cyanobacteria ma'am,it's sphere in shape.Wow...
  • What you have seen Mr.Kwengkelengkeng? What kind of bacteria is it?
  • SCIENCE LABORATORY
  • Wow...
  • Ethan Sobrepena 11 STEM-1
  • Cyanobacteria is also called blue-green algae, are microscopic organisms found naturally in all types of water and it is unicellular or single-celled organisms. These organisms use sunlight to make their own food through photosynthesis. And lastly, cyanobacteria can clearly visible in warm,nutrient-rich environments, which allow them to grow quickly and ''bloom'' in lakes and other bodies of water.

  • Thank you Kweng,now i know.
  • Hey Kweng,i was so amazed of what i've saw in the activity.Do you know what cyanobacteria is?
  •
  • A bacterium, though, is considered living thing because it's alive. Although it is a single cell, it can generate energy and the molecules needed to sustain itself, and it can reproduce.
  • Are bacteria considered a living thing?
  • Yes ma'am ,bacteria considered a living thing because they are alive and depict the 8 characteristics of life.Bacteria are unicellular, they can reproduce through asexual reproduction via binary fission, bacteria can grow(they must before they can carry out binary fission),bacteria can carry out metabolism example include cyanobacteria carrying out photosynthesis, bacteria can respond to the environment, bacteria maintain homeostasis in an ecosystem by decomposing dead organisms so that the nutrients can continue to be recycled, bacteria contains genetic code, and lastly bacteria change over time.So this is the reason why bacteria are living things.
  • Thank you Mr.Kwengkelengkeng for your voluntary response. So,the question is 'are bacteria considered a living thing?'
