- Kauikeaouli realizes after helping Kino with her destiny, that itʻs his kuleana to govern the ʻaina and his people.
- Where are you chiefs, guardians, commoners? I greet you. Hear I say! My Kingdom I give to God. The righteous chief shall be my chief, the children of commoners who do you right shall be my people, my kingdom shall be one of letters.
- YOUʻRE GONNA REGRET THIS!!!
- Kino hides her blue-green stone in the conch shell so Maylani and her friends donʻt steal it. This sends her back in time and begins the story.

- Kino gives her grandpa a vial of medicine to heal him from a curse. It is made of the four sacred objects she and Kauikeaouli collected on their journey.

- Kino needs to smash the shell that holds her blue-green stone with the sacred pōhaku (a black stone) then give the shell to someone special to her in order to get back home to her own timeline.

- Kino and Kauikeaouli help a man named Haoa, who is being accused of stealing mangoes by Pono and Manu. Haoa is found innocent and will eventually help them on their journey further into the story.
