- When Polyphemus goes to sleep, Odysseus and his men come up with an idea to blind Polyphemus.

- After when Odysseus and his men escape, Polyphemus learns the old prophecy about Odysseus blinding him. So Polyphemus prays to his father Poseidon to never let Odysseus reach his home.

- The Laestrygonians attack Odysseus and his men get attacked by the Laestrygonians

- Odysseus's ship was the only ship that survived against the Laestrygonians so they find an island and meet Circe who invites them.
