Storyboard Text

  • ¨Two roads diverged in a yellow wood, and sorry I could not travel both¨
  • ¨Then took the other, just as fair ; And perhaps the better claim¨
  • ¨Oh, I kept the first for another day!¨
  • The first stanza tells about how this guy is walking in the woods and find a fork in the road. He doesn't know which road to choose. This contributes to the narrative of the poem because it begins the poem, and first introduces us to these roads.
  • ¨Two roads diverged in a wood, and I took the one less traveled by, and that has made all the difference¨
  • Now, the guy is thinking about taking the second path, because it looks better than the first road, but then, after deciding some more, he decides they look the same.
  • He finally picks a path, and he says that he will come back to the first path another day, but he really knows he probably wont be able to find it again.
  • Now, looking back at when he had to make this choice, he is telling himself he took the road less traveled to try and make him feel better about his decision. We are always thinking about things that happend in the past and wonder if we made the right choice, and this poem shows it.
