- 1347, Mongol Siege of the Black Sea port of Caffa
- Dead infected bodies of soldiers!
- Mongols used 'Germ warfare' and defeated Genoese
- Over 4 years, it spread inland throughout western Europe
- France was unaware of the plague and allowed ships
- Tartars died as soon as symptoms appeared and corpses were ordered to be put in catapults
- Rotting corpses poisoned water supply as well
- Those who have escaped were sailors who had been infected with the poisonous disease
- 1346-1348 Majority of East infected
