- Some people were extremely wealthy so they had high demands. They relied on slaves to serve them things like grapes and wine. The Romans would drink all through the night that would usually end to all of the men getting sick.
- Girls Getting Dolled up
- It was a daily event for Romans to take public baths. There would be a variety of different rooms, hot ones, cold ones, dark ones, light ones, ect. In fact, Rome had more than 147 public baths buildings for people to enjoy after a long day. However, only the wealthy had prime time to go, the poor people and slaves had to wait.
- Marriage
- I now pronounce you husband and wife
- Men visited public places such as the Coliseum, the Circus Maximus, the Forum, the temple of Venus and Roma, and the Aqueduct of claudius. The Coliseum seated up to 50,000 people. It was not fair because if women wanted to watch the fighting or the dying they would have to stand in the very back so you would not be able to see.
- Slaves/ poor vs Rich
- It was a household tradition for Roman girls to get dolled up to prepare for the wedding. They would were things like necklaces, engagement rings, earings, bracelets, anklets and more. They would all be given to the girl from the future husband.
- Men and girls would be married at a very young age. Usually, a 7 year old girl and a 17 year old man would get married. The marriage would be arranged from the father of the groom.
- Slaves had a much harder life than the rich. Slaves would work for the rich. Slaves/ poor people's homes would be unsafe and very small, while the rich were the opposite. Slaves also had no running water, so they had to share public bathrooms with others. Also, wealthy Romans enjoyed extreme luxurys.
