Hey mom, I heard about this thing in school called cellular respiration. Could you tell me about it?
Of course!
Cellular respiration is the process where a cell turns oxygen into energy. There are 3 different stages to this. First up is glycosis this happens in the cytoplasm of your cells. It turns glucose into a special molecule called Pyruvate.
Second is the krebs cycle. It uses the Pyruvate made from glycosis and turns it into 32 molecules of ATP which is like energy.
Finally we have The ETC which leads the electrons to ATP synthase to make more ATP
