- Starting my art business in Florida (long-term goal)Specific:-Initiating the actual business online as well as the plans for the building must be accomplished before going further-I may need a lawyer, landlord, and project manager in order to achieve this goal-Location: Florida-I want to accomplish this goal because the art business will help me spread my love for art to others as well as having an online and physical presence may bring in more revenue.
- Measurable:-I will know I have succeeded when I am able to run both businesses in a timely manner-I may sometimes have to close the store online business in case of an emergency or vacation-I will have to first set up a website when I am done with college, post my art, and ensure that the online store is under control as well as successful.-Then, I have to find an affordable space for my physical store, which may involve a realtor. I will have to discover alternatives that are also close to my home. When I have a store, some of my art may have to be transported, so a truck rental may be involved,with the addition of other business costs.
- Attainable:-I will have to get resources needed to achieve this goal. Therefore, I should go online to explore options for realtors, lawyers, project managers, and movers.-The goal may take some time but with patience and managing money by saving up from a part-time job, I can reach it in the future.-The actions I plan are likely to be successful because I plan to work with what I need as well as following what is needed in order for the business to succeed.
- Relevant:-This is a worthwhile goal for right now because I am going to college soon which means it is also time to begin thinking of career options.-I have been told by others that I should start a bussiness but they are not the main reason I want to acheive this goal. Therefore, this goal is important to me as an artist. This goal may be a priority for a while, so I do not see any upcoming larger goals impeding my path.-I am willing to commit to achieving this goal as it will be a lifelong carreer of mine.
- Time-bound: -The deadline for reaching this goal may be before I get married and have a family as I will have to worry about less expenses and stress then.-I should take action when I have a major in any art field and when I have no large dues to pay at the time.-I can simply improve on my art and practing safe spending habits in the meantime.
