Storyboard Text
- "David and Goliah you say? Which verse states that David and Goliah are the first disciples? Surely a knowledgeable, impressive young boy like you must know." Becky waits patiently, excepting Tom to correct his mistake. Instead, he fails to sputter out an understandable response.
- The Judge beams with pride, he has put this foolish boy in his place. However, what he did not expect was his daughter reacting with the same, if more, ferociousness.
- Words spewed out of her mouth, "You absolute muttonhead! You claim you are worthy of a reward when you have barely worked? You will not get the holy bible. You have been graced by the presence of a judge and embarrassed yourself. I must of been a fool to think you were good." Tom forced the tears to run down his face.
- Worried for his reputation amongst the townspeople, the judge began to scold his daughter. "His lesson was already taught, there is no need to punish him further!" Tom ran out of the church, crying obnoxiously.
- As soon as he stepped out of the church, Tom began snickering. "Those fools! If they think a simple scolding will teach me anything they have not met Aunt Polly!" Even though he felt disappointed and embarrassed about messing up in front of Becky, he pushed those feelings down and instead celebrated his new bible.
- As Tom arrived back home, he stopped to admire the whitewashed fences. Aunt Polly is waiting outside, face turning sour at the sight of the laughing Tom. "What have you done this time? If I hear what happened you will be punished!" Tom laughed and went to change into his play clothes.
