Inside the walls of these pyramids, are stories written in hieroglyphics about how the world first came about.
In the beginning all the world was, was a body of directionless water named Nun. Nun was personified as four females, and 4 male deities. Then a god named Atum created himself out of Nun.
”Shu, represented dry air, and his daughter, Tefnut, represented corrosive moist air. The twins symbolize two universal principles of human existence: life and right (justice).” These twins also separated the sky and waters from each other.
The twins, Nut and Geb then decided to have four kids together.
When Re became old, the deities tried to take advantage of his senility. Even humans plotted against him.
. In pain, and weary of these problems, Re withdrew from the world. Taking the form of Hathor, he mounted on Nut (sky), who raised him to the heavens.
