Storyboard Text

  • This scene shows Antigone's pride because she is willing to risk it all to bury her brother. She isn't holding back and will do whatever is necessary because of her strong beliefs which is prideful.
  • "But I will bury him; and if I must die, I say that crime is holy" (Prologue Lines 55-57).
  • This scene shows how Creon holds a lot of pride and will do anything to stop Antigone. He wants her to die so he will win.
  • "Nothing. That gives me everything" (94).
  • "Creon, what more do you want than my death" (Scene 2 Line 93).
  • This scene shows Creon and Haemon's pride fighting against each other. creon is too stubborn to listen to his son's words. While Haemon is prideful to fight against his father and dio anything to save Antigone. His pride is telling how if Creon kills Antigone, he will kill himself.
  • "You'll never marry her while she lives" (Scene 3 Line 118).
  • "Then she must die. But her death will cause another" (119).
  • This scene shows how Antigone is taking her pride to her death. She doesn't believe she has lost, no, she believes she has still done the right thing even if she actually dies for it. Those strong emotions are prideful because she is still so brave no matter what happens to her.
  • "Then let me go, since all your words are bitter, and the very light of the sun is cold to me" (Scene 4 Lines 49-50).
  • This scene shows how Creon is very prideful. He is talking about how he will take whoever burried Polyneices will pay for doing so. He is so full of pride that he will do anythiing to stop whever has done this.
  • "I swear by Godand the throne of God, the man who has doen this thing shall pay for it" (Scene 1, Lines 122-123).
  • In this scene Creon is talking with Teiresias about how he is now realizing his flaws. Creon was so blinded by his pridefulness that he didn't see all the problems he was causing.
  • "It seems that prophets have made me their especial province. All my life long I have been a kind of butt for the dull arrows of doddering fortunetellers" (Scene 5 Lines 41-43).
