- The Carbon atom begins off in the atmosphere where it will begin its mission through the carbon cycle.
- Carbon Atom
- Photosynthesis takes the carbon dioxide out of the air and helps create nutrients and energy for plants.
- Next, I make my way into a plant through photosynthesis
- Animals will then eat plants, along with the carbon contained inside the plant.
- Oh no! I'm going inside the bunny!
- Yum, I love eating plants
- When animals die, the carbon inside them is passed and transferred back into the lithosphere through a process called decomposition.
- We’re free!!
- We need to breathe out carbon dioxide!
- Every day humans and animals breathe out carbon dioxide .
- The carbon atom will rejoin the atmosphere again because of a process call combustion, which then restart the carbon cycle all over again.
- Looks like I'm back here again!
