- Yes, like this school bus is in motion!!
- I Know ALL about motion! Let me help you. Motion in simple words is the act of changing positions!
- The motion quiz is today in Ms.Cs class and I do not know a thing....
- Like she said with the bus, the bus is in motion. Just like we are going a certain speed! Speed is the distance an object travels due to a force over time!
- He is right we could not be in motion if were not going at all.
- Okay that makes sense tell me more please!!
- Yes Cj is right, and then displacement is the shortest and straightest line where an object begins its motion and where it comes to rest! So when you got on at the bus stop and when we get to school there will be a displacement!
- So like the distance we have traveled since you got on the bus. Distance is the total path an object takes as it moves from one location to another.
- Okay you are making sense.. I can´t fail. Tell me all you know please.
- Good Job! Now lets just say this happens you and another person goes to kick that soccer ball and yall do it with the same force then you would have a balanced force. Which is forces that are equal and do not change its motion so the soccer ball would not move!
- You are getting the hang of it! And when you kick the soccer ball it has a net force and that just means how much force is acting upon the soccer ball!
- Wait okay so I think I might know something about motion. When I kick my soccer ball and the grass is wet and muddy it creates friction right? And friction is a force caused by 2 objects rubbing against each other!
- Look we are at school now lets get to class we will have time for at least a few more examples!
- It is okay that is why friends are here! Right now the bus is going a constant speed which will stop once we will reach the school but constant means something that remains the same!

- Do you see how his pencil dropped his that is gravity!! Without gravity his pencil would not be able to fall. Gravity is whats responsible for accelerating objects to the earth.
- His pencil falling means somewhere there was an unbalanced force! He got the wobbly desk today! An unbalanced force is something that is not equal to each other and it means it does not have the same motion!
- Okay that makes sense I am so ready to ace this!!
