  • The city-state of Athen (A greek City-state) is where the Direct Democracy form of government originates.
  • A Direct Democracy Is different from other forms of government because it lets the people vote for everything. While a Monarchy has a single ruler, a king that is incharge.
  • The three ways a Greek would cast a vote would be.1. They vote from sunrise until sunset. 2. They have their vote in a sealed envelope.3. They put their vote in a baliid box.
  • Who wasn't allowed to vote?1. Salves 2.Women 3. Men who didn't own land 4. Men who weren't over a specific age.
  • There are many ways that Greek direct democracy impacted the U.S's government. First of all, the U.S is a democracy. Second, Checks and Balances are part of the Greek democracy and we use it. (Checks and Balances is a system to insure that one branch/person can seize control of the government)
