- On September 11 2001 two planes hit the world trade center, 1 more hit the pentagon and another tried to hit the white house and missed. There were 2,997 US deaths.
- People In New York had to flee from danger and find cover from all the smoke and debris fallingh from the sky. People grouped up and found safety on the edge of the city
- Millions of Americans watched on from home in horror and fear.
- People across the world were watching. A qoute from ex UTD Navy Seal " Yup we are gonna be going to war." I found this out when I asked him where he was when 9/11 happened .
- Dark smoke was in the city for weeks and it was extremely hard to see anything. People couldnt breathe and could not see which made it extremly dificult
- Gorge H.W. Bush made his famous oval office speech addressing the nation about what had happened earlier that day. Millions watched at home looking for a light in this dark time. People across the country needed answers and were confused about the attack and what happened. In the speech Bush said this famous line "today, our nation saw evil -- the very worst of human nature -- and we responded with the best of America. With the daring of our rescue workers, with the caring for strangers and neighbors who came to give blood and help in any way they could.
