The French and Indian war was important to the American Revolution because when Britain won the war they had lost a lot of money, and were in debt. After the war, Britain had an idea to impose taxes on the colonists to earn money, so that their army could stay and protect the colonists.
After the Boston Massacre
When the colonists here about the taxes, they are angry. The colonists resisted the stamp act by disobeying the law by not buying stamps, and using violence to frighten the tax collectors.
Intolerable Acts
March 5, 1770, on King Street in Boston. The Boston Massacre started with American colonists and only one British soldier, but soon lead to a battle. Lots of soldiers soon joined in and fought, which ended with lots of death. The Boston massacre only made things worst between the Americans and the British.
Declaration of Independence
The colonists become so angry to the point when they decide to boycott the British tea ship. They board the ship dressed up as Native Americans and start to throw the tea boxes off the boat into the harbor.
Soon after the Boston Tea Party, the British troops started the intolerable acts. these acts enforced lots of laws, which angered the colonists even more.
LAWS
After 10 years of the intolerable acts or the coercive acts, the first convening of the first Continental Congress was held in Philadelphia in September. The delegates adopt a Deceleration of rights. No Taxation Without Representation!
