- Charlemange was a person who wanted to build a Christian empire in Europe. Charlemange and the pope worked together. The pope provided the church on his side for Charlemange and Charlemange provided protection and to make sure the pope would of get thrown out of office.
- This is unfair. Im the king i should make the laws.
- We cant let this happen.
- The result of the pope working with charlemange was that charlemange was crowned king by the pope. This action of a pope crowning the king angered the Byzatine king necause he was jealous. As a king he wanted to crown charlemange as a king to king relationship.

- Charlemange believed that god made him king to do his work on earth. On the other hand, the pope believed that the church made him king. This later caused a bug conflict.
- This was a great idea to make this document.
- A few years later, there was a new pope named Gregory and he created a list of rules. The rules declared that he had supreme authority over the church and secular leaders. There was also a new king named King Henry VI, and he thought that these set of rules were attacking his powers and rights.
- Pope Gregory and King Henry got in a big fight about recruiting bishops. They both recruited a bishop to the same are which led to people picking sides. They both knew that they had to stop this or it could lead to a fallen empire.
- The solution was a document called the Condcordat of Worms. this document allowed the pope to still recruit bishops. But it still allowed the king to grant seifs. They were at peace again.
