- Sorry I was late, I lost track of time and didn't see but I'm here now!

- It was a sunny day on June 27th, kids were collecting rocks filling their pockets, preparing.
- IT'S NOT FAIR!!! YOU CAN"T DO THIS. THE DRAWING WAS RIGGED.
- open the papers
- It was around 10 o' clock and everyone gathered around the create for it was time to start the lottery. They we're taking role when suddenly a voice was heard over the crowd.
- PLEASE DON"T KILL ME!!
- WE HAVE A WINNERRR!
- Tessie Hutchinson was late, but they were just about to start so she was actually just in time. They began calling people up to draw their ticket, no one was aloud to open them until advised. The night before, June 26th the postmaster,Mr.summers, and other men cut paper and drew one black dot on just one, which the winner would get.
- The man of the house drew first, when they found out which person got the dot they then made just that family draw. It came time for them to open the paper and Bill Hutchinson drew the black dot. Tessie was upset and worried.
- Finally the whole family drew and they opened the papers, Tessie had the black dot...all the kids then started grabbing their rocks and chasing Tessie while she begged for mercy.
- Tess started running but kids caught up and she gave in, even her own son Davy had some pebbles.
