- The ancient Greece were not good farmers because they were surrounded by many mountains and rocky terrain.
- The Affair
- Because the Greece didn't have farmland, they could not grow crops, therefore, they started trading. To trade with others, the people had to cross water, making them expert sailors.
- The Decade Long War
- The Greeks sailed across the land to trade with other nations.
- The "Gift"
- Prince Paris of Troy had his eyes on Queen Helen. One night, he came to the castle, and she sailed away with him. When the King woke up, you could imagine how furious he was!
- The Greeks could not conquer Troy, because of their walled city. This led to the end of the Trojan war not coming for a very long time.
- A general came up with an idea of building a wooden horse as a "gift" for Troy. They burned their tents as if they were surrendering. But when the horse came into Troy, they didn't know that there was soldiers inside. When everyone was sleeping, they opened the gates and burned Troy to the ground and saved Helen.
