- what is schema theory?
- basically, schema theory describes a pattern of thought or behaviour that is organized into different groups of information.
- there are four different types of schemas, known as, person schemas, self schemas, social schemas and event schemas.
- wow!!! that's so interesting
- I know!!! but there's more...
- schemas tend to contribute to stereotypes and prevent us from learning new information that doesn't conform to the pre existing ideas we have about the world.
