- Here lies an old ram, who has a significance role in nature. It looks down at the land over the rockslide.
- Grendel goes for a walk through the woods and spots the ram. He becomes frustrated as the ram stares at him.
- "Scat! Go back to your cave, go back to your cowshed-whatever."
- Ahhhh. I am smarter and better than this ram. It suffers the same way every year. "Why can't these creatures discover a little dignity?"
- "He cocks his head like an elderly, slow-witted king, considers the angles, decides to ignore me. I hammer the ground with my fists. I hurl a skull size stone at him."
- Ugh this stubborn little ram. It wouldn't budge for nothing. Ah ha maybe if I throw this huge rock it will go back to where it belongs.
- The ram still refuses to move. Grendel becomes more furious and let's out a huge howl into the sky and the ram still remains unfazed.
- OWOHHHHHhHH!!!
- Grendel gives up and lends back onto the tree. Grendel is intrigued by the ram's natural instincts and unbotheredness.
- And so begins the twelfth year of Grendel's murderous wars....
