Louis XVI was beheaded for treason in 1793. A constitution was drawn up for France to be ruled by 5 directors. In 1799, however, Napoleon Bonaparte overthrew the Directory and became the ruler of France.

I'm Napoleon Bonaparte, a military hero. Not to brag, but I practically saved France. I ended up ruling France as emperor from 1804 to 1814.
The actual conflict didn't end until 1815, at my defeat at Waterloo.

But after Napoleon died, King Louis XVIII took power.

After all the back and forth and chaos, France parted from the monarchy, however.
But those who hadn't started out with much land didn't receive much.
So in conclusion, the people of France gained freedom, got rid of the monarchy, and received more resources.
So the French Revolution didn't put an end to all instability and uncertainty around the monarchy.
Therefore, the French Revolution resulted in a minor reformation in France, one step towards a more stable, democratic society.
