Storyboard Text
What is this?! Why is it so hard?!
Its a caste for your broken arm made out of Plaster of Paris.
It is essentially Gypsum but with 3/4th its water of crystallization per formula unit
Water of what?
Let me explain
A fixed number of water molecules present in one formula unit of a salt is called the water of crystallization of that salt.
Example
CaSO4
393 K
POP
These water molecules are bound by weak electro static forces and change some properties of the salts
CuSO4
Example
393 K
CuSO4. 5H2O
Over 30 Million
