This branch passes laws. Congress runs the branch, has the most power in the branch, and the people in congress help decide what laws to pass. One of the checks, and balances of the branch is that the president can veto a law, but the legislative branch can overrule it with enough votes.
The executive branch
This branch helps run the government. The building that represents it is the white house, because the head of the branch is the president. The president has the power to sign and reject laws made by the congress in the legislative branch, which is one of the checks and balances in this branch as well as in the legislative one.
The Judicial branch
The final branch is the judicial branch. This branch interprets laws, and makes sure everyone is following them when a problem comes up. The branch mainly represents the supreme court. Where the most important issues get debated. The members in this branch are mostly judges. They vote on many issues, and the head of the branch is the chief justice, although they all have the same amount of power. Sense the branch interprets the laws, one of the checks, and balances is the senate in the legislative branch, accepts nominations from the president on who the judges will be.
